Posts: 4822 (11/07/09 4:30 AM) commie homo-loving son of a gun Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts	From fcl1 at CB: just got home from david foster show. clay looked and sounded great. david called him his brother-in-law. red spiky hair, no glasses, half grown beard, green pullover sweater like shirt w/ little white or yellow stripes (looks like a shirt from 2004 time frame), baggy jeans, converse sneakers. someone backstage gave him the dress jacket to put on before he came on stage. he joked about there being a dress code on stage. he said "crap" after david whispered in his ear what he wanted clay to sing. lots of applause when he finished singing. moonriver919 wrote: Here's clack from tonight... Clay sounded great, I thought, despite the tempo I had to close my eyes and listen..its all about his mouth to me when he sings and that video was pretty bad, whew! I didnt hear a crack in the clack this time..woohoo, getting better

You can DL it from ClackUnlimited. Mikki, you can see Clay's lips! Upon further listening, it wasn't quite the train wreck I thought it was, couple of cracks, a bit flat on the high note, but otherwise, pretty good. However, if he's recording with that voice, I wish he'd take some lessons. Or warm up. Or gargle with salt water. Or suck a Sucrets.

I'm all "whatever" when it comes to Clay anymore anyway. If they tour they probably won't come to Houston anyway. And IF they do, I'm not sure I would go. For one thing, I can't think of one person who would even go with me.

While it wouldn't be my first choice, I've always loved Clay and Ruben's camaraderie and I've no doubt they'd put on a great show together. I might be in the minority on this, but if the show does happen I'd rather they do a single set together rather than separate ones (a la Independent Tour). It would allow for Maximum Cluben FunTimes and might mitigate our collective fandom's tendency to be kind of a dick about Clay sharing the stage with anybody. I also wonder what kind of nostalgia the show might hold for my peers, who were in high school when season 2 was on. It was all folks in my classes talked about for months. If the tickets aren't too expensive, it might be a way to reel in some other casual/former fans that a solo tour wouldn't provide, particularly if its marketed well.
