Got a call from hosaa a while ago and just got home to post.
She heard a little of the rehearsal.
She heard bluesy.

She also heard a report that Jerome said we'd be sick of seeing them in 2010.

One of my friends down here spoke with someone from the NIP who said that when she thinks about what's coming tonight she "gets chills." No clue what that means, but it can't be bad!

Someone said they heard 'Moon River' and 'My Eyes Adored You' being rehearsed. Don't think they heard Clay singing those songs, tho.

TNIP won the Christie Cookies contest!! The president of the company flew there in person to present the $10,000 check to Clay.

Clay looks great!! Blue/grey suit purplish tie -- I think. I got to put my hand on his shoulder for the pic so I can't swear to any details.

Dinner starts at 6pm, then the auction and then the singing (I think). The CH stream thingy begins at 7:45 (I presume that means EST). bigapple4clay is sending me pics I think. We just tested her iPhone > my email and it worked so...

Shady, my boyfriend has longer hair and less prominent teeth.

Linda Loveland did a brief intro.

Clay spoke a few minutes-opening, thanked volunteers, everybody for coming, never thought it would be this big.

He's seated in front-Jaymes on one side and Jamie on the other side of him. Faye and her mother at another table up front.

Eating dinner-very nice meal.

Lighting in room very dark. Hoping when stage lights are on it will be better for pictures and clack.

At the tables they got a lovely gift box with a pin and a purse hanger.

Very hard to talk on the phone. More later.

Tickets to David Foster and friends (Clay asked Jamie!), anywhere. Clay says Cherise's CD will fund his son's college education! Comes with a meet and greet. $1000.

And the fugly jacket, which he tried on, and buttoned. Next year he says he's running out of stuff. Maybe underwear next year, he said. He just threw in the shoes he's wearing!

The surprise is a day with Clay sightseeing around Raleigh. Includes lunch and he will do the driving.
