What clawme means is it's really here. Like, we all have it by now, so we decided why pretend we don't?
Yesterday we moved the CD talk into a quickie private forum for regular board posters only, but today we thought maybe that wasn't worth it, since who are
we kidding that everyone in the freakin' fandom hasn't already listened to the CD?
So then we were gonna move the thread back in here, but it magically got sucked into the void when we tried to move it. So I'm
gonna copy all those swooning CD posts from yesterday and today back into this thread. Soon. Not Clay's soon. My soon. Until then, talk about something else... |

It reminds me of something out of an old Gershwin musical or something. Very stagey...but in a good way. NomadFan wrote: Ack! I picked a bad day to go to the beach! I caved in about two seconds. Hell, what does it matter....I already bought three copies. STPteach wrote: Wow, I come home after visiting with MamaSTP and food shopping to discover a lil' clawme birthday present...oh, wow. I'm downloading now - my old dinosaur of a computer is taking forever, but I should have it done before midnight. This is very exciting, isn't it!! Invisible2Clay wrote:

(just incase there was any doubt.) I can't even describe it. eep. I am so proud of him!!! 5 years baby. He's so fantastic. I just think this album is him through and through and I adore it. It totally hits me and he's just awesome. So beautiful. I really adore all of the songs. They are very intricate and interesting. Not at all boring to me. I can't take them all in completely but to say, I love it. I want to dance around the house but it's 11:30 so I have to wait. nas27 wrote:

KavanaughKJ wrote: What struck me is the amount of work Clay must have put in to pick the right songs for it. And the song selection screams Clay - it feels intensely personal to me. There's a guardedness, sadness, a sense of longing, and hopefulness about the cd in its entirety. And that's how we got to this place. You may resume discussion and maybe even some of those many lurkers I see at the bottom of the page every.single.day. will feel compelled to join us for a change!

Damn Im good!!! I havent caved yet!!
Im so happy to hear that everybody loves it..I know I will too..after hearing the snippets I too felt like he wasnt using his range enough. So I guess my hope for still getting lower register Clay is fading,eh? About the respect issue? How is he ever going to get any when they poke so much fun of him and make being a fan about the dumbest thing you could be? Yes, I saw VH1 Best Week Ever..but I havent seen a download of it anywhere. Im so depressed right now. Such bad timing for me when I want to get excited for this CD and we have to hear this crap. after spending some time ripping apart the fans for awhile, the last 10 seconds of the show they play the Mothers Day greeting he sent out, and the little greasy dweeb guy says 'you can have a two for one Happy Mothers day and come out of the closet" Wha...?? The least they could do if they want to make a gay crack is to make it funny, or even how about making any fucking sense? sorry to crap on eveyones fun..maybe I need me some clay

Mik. You're such a cute and totally believable virgin. I'm also gonna copy cooper's post from the old thread over here, cuz it sparked the beginnings of an interesting discussion, I think. cooper7 wrote:

Thank you for doing all of that clay4me.
I don't know how you're doing it, MikLou. I'm pretty sure that by the time you listen to the CD for the first time, I will already know it well enough to tell you, oh I don't know, how many times the word "the" appears in all of the songs with more than 12 words in the title. I'm an unrepentant spoilerwhore. I admire your strength in the face of such an indomitable foe. All of that said...just cave. Do it. C'mon you know you wanna. It'll be so worth it. ETA: Man, I'm a mess. I totally wasn't done with that post but decided, for whatever reason, that I'd just hit "post." Clay has made me wonky, y'all. :crazy So...isn't the CD just the dreamiest? *flutters and swoons* My favorite song changes a little each time a new song comes on. "Everything I Don't Need." I hated that when he did it on QVC. Thought it sucked. But, of course, I totally love it now. And "Real Me." Oh my. The beginning of that song is heartbreaking. The whole song is, but the beginning of it makes me cry actual real tears all on its very own. I'm listening to "Falling" right now. It totally rocks. Rocks, I tell you. ROCKS!!!!

Thanks clay4me!
I'm all schmoopy. Clay's on stage right now for his last Spam performance. Sniff. I read at CH that Chris Siebert, Miike Nichols, Quiana, and Nick are all there. I bet the place is rocking. I didn't think I wanted to be there. I was wrong. |

Crowd in the alley is huge! The last stage door was at the afternoon show -- they're supposedly having a big party afterwards... for Clay... Awww! They had to cut the last half short at the matinee because the applause was so loud and long in the first half. The place is buzzing. And I'm jellus as hell. Have fun, bishes!
Hee, Abby and I sharing a brain! Oh, cool... all the CD posts got copied over here... yay! Thanks. God, why don't these emoties work?!?

Hope I'm not too late to wish clawme a Happy Birthday.
I am TOTALLY in love with this album. I wasn't going to listen, like MikLou, but in the end I caved. You should too MikLou, it's only one more day after all, and it makes you SO happy. I can't pick favourites really, every time I hear different tracks I keep changing my mind, although having said that I am quite keen on ALAWH. Love
them all.

oh wow.
*sniff* It's bitter sweet. I was
there oh so many weeks ago when he first appeared on that stage. I was very lucky. I wish I were there tonight too. dang. I am so jealous. I'm so freakin
proud of him. I hope he takes it all in tonight and enjoys his party with his new and old friends. Good for him!!!!!

God, why don't these emoties work?!?I finally figured out that if you type the name of the emoticon, it shows up in your post fine. However, if you edit, most of the time it reverts to the text instead of the emoticon. But, if you click on the emoticon from the list so the actual emoticon shows up in the posting box instead of the : whatever, you can edit and not lose it. So I've started using the list instead of typing : whatever, even though it's a pain in the ass! Did I
explain that so it makes any sense?!

Yes, you did. That's what I've been doing to fix the edits, so yeah, it makes sense to just start that way. Thanks!
I was on the OFC chat and they said that the Florists delivered 118 arrangements.. Also that one of the people who work there said that if they work on Broadway for 20 more years they would never forget Clay Aiken and his Claymates.....hope that is goodHeh, me too. LOL! That's a shitload of flowers tho. :lol

Where the hell do you suppose they put all those flowers?! We saw his dressing room...sure as hell couldn't fit 'em in there!
I'm so happy his "family" is there. Damn. I hope people have REALLY good memories of what happens on stage tonight! |

yeah, I sure hope they do too. I'm counting on photographic memories here. I want to live the experience. I want to know EXACTLY what is happening on that
stage!!!! He probably looks super adorable and is soooo confident. I can just picture it...almost. He's almost done too isn't he!!
