Is it OK if I come out of hiding?

Mum showed me a preview clip of 30 Rock this morning before I went into work (how much do I love that they've made him Kenneth's cousin? omg) and I thought I'd sneak in here and emerge from amongst the potted plants. Have been very much the hermit in easily the last year or so and the longer I stayed silent the harder it seemed to be to talk again - haven't updated my Facebook or my LJ in months and I need to kick myself out of lurker mode ... it's far too easy to just shut up and withdraw from people which is totally stupid of me to do.

I've missed you and I'm sorry.

On a shallower note, I'm loving the red hair on Clay. And the songs at that David Foster event recently - I think both Mum and I were fangirling badly over that ... I've grown up to those songs and if I could have heard him sing anything, those songs would have been a definite choice.

I'm grinning a bit that the fandom crazy doesn't appear to have quieted down any in my absence, either ... are people still running around with conspiracy theories thinking that the whole entertainment world revolves around Clay? Meeeeeeeep.

Anyway ... yeah. It's nice to check in - even if I'm pretty much never around anywhere any more this place will always be my messageboard home. I'm truly sorry I suck so hard.

As for porn ... I'm sadly rusty and out of practice, and I'm pretty sure I'd suck at slash, though I've come a loooooooooong way since the days when I joined the fandom and found slash totally distasteful. Yeah, I know. Nowadays I get what everybody was going on about ... but I still think I'd suck at writing it. hee. I do miss writing though - but I have no idea how I mustered up the discipline to write so much before, to be honest. My fundamental characteristics of late seem to be laziness and apathy. Need a good old fashioned boot up the bum. And time to write.

Just an observation: Messageboards are inadequate when you want to hug people.
