That's weird it says there's a page 96 and then when I click on it, it goes back to page 94.
Anyway, I wish we could have met up too CinPA! Wow, you've been to Japan - wonderful. Hopefully we'll get to meet up next
time. I just wish they'd been doing those photos on stage whilst we were there. I saw one on the CB with a mother and daughter and Clay. I would've
loved to have had one of me, Kav and Clay. Ah well, one day maybe. But I wanna see your picture Shady.  So glad you
sacrificed your lawnmower.

I know I'll probably never get to actually "meet" him. I just wish he would have done the stagedoor while I was in NY so I could have just

The closest I got was having his toes about 2 feet away when I sat in the front row for the Vancouver Best Christmas Pageant Evah! I could see how badly his jacket was hemmed... I could look right up his nose....

ok well I've never met him either. Granted I got some good close stage door action, some behind the barricades action in '04, some hi fives in the
busline during '07 but I've NEVER gotten touching either. I'm even a member of the fan club. This better be my year for a M&G damn it.

Im in emotional mode today. Must be because of shady..(do you have that pic or what????) While watching AI Rewind at the end where Ruben and Clay were talking during the during the 2007 interviews about how much they adored and respected each other.. then Ruben says this quote about Clay "People were saying "c'mon there has to be something you hate about Clay" I cant say it, cuz he's my brother" awwww, I actually teared up

You are all going to probably want to slap me silly but I did have one of those M&G's last summer and honest to God they are highly over-rated. I'm not just saying that to try to make anyone feel better. He acted like he was skeered of me or something that day. I got a little teeny tiny touch with his hand on my arm for a second. No other contact whatsoever. Maybe I smelled or somethin'. 
I was more excited to be part of the busline two weeks later at a different show with just a quick grasp of both of my hands. He looked at me and smiled when coming down the line towards me too. I felt like he recognized me with the look he gave. Like he was surprised to see me there but it was a nice mouth open smile, like an, "OH, I know you". I'm sure it was my imagination. Really, that look and grabbing both my hands meant more to me than sitting in the room with him for 15 minutes. If Clay is not in the mood to touch, you won't get touched. I think he only gives those really great hugs to family, friends, celebrities when posing with them for pics (LOL) and a few fans he "knows" or recognizes, especially when they give money to a cause he loves. We know the man has issues about his "space" and rightly so when fans try to feel him up.

I think I kind of get what you are saying CS. I've never had a M&G, and I'm fine with that. I did do the bus line in NH, and that was an uncomfortable experience for me. It was like he wasn't really there. I felt like he was fulfilling an obligation that made him uncomfortable, and so he completely disconnected. Don't know if that makes sense to any one else, but it does in my head! I know others enjoyed the experience, and I'm happy for them. I just didn't care for it. And my comments aren't intended to be critical of Clay...I understand the why of how I think he felt (hee - I have no idea how he actually felt, I'm projecting big time!). On the other hand, I really enjoyed my stage door experience at Spam. And it's because Clay seemed to be "there", and enjoying himself. So to me, your first experience CS was kind of like my bus line, while your second was my stage door. |

I :::HATED::: that damn NH busline. Not only did he look disconnected, I thought he looked scared to freaking death and vulnerable to boot. It made me feel squicky all over. Ick. Blech. 
As for M&Gs and photo ops, I say it's all a matter of the mood he's in when you catch him. Some are lucky, some are not. I'm glad shady was lucky, though!  FINALLY.
